I know, I know… What are you on about Liz?  What the heck does “messsss” mean?  And what’s all this about “Lean 5S”?

Let me tell you more

Lean 5s is a methodology intended to make work space organisation as effective and as efficient as possible.  Wikipedia does a good job of explaining it:

“(5S)… describes how to organize a work space for efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and storing the items used, maintaining the area and items, and sustaining the new order”. read more

Your Locus of Control is your perceived source of control for events within your life.  It’s the extent to which you believe you have control over events in your life, or power over things that affect you.

Someone with an external locus of control believes that external factors influence what happens in their lives.  They consider events that happen in their life as the consequence of stuff that’s beyond their control.  On the other hand, someone with an internal locus of control believes that they can directly influence things that happen in their lives. read more

Does anyone actually like a Monday?  I mean, they’re not too bad when you’re on holidays, but when you have to go in to work… Yikes!

When you start surviving (and thriving) at work, Mondays aren’t at all bad.  Okay, most people would still prefer to stay at home wrapped underneath their duvet or sipping a hot black coffee out in the garden sunshine, but that’s human!  The point is, when you start surviving you stop dreading Mondays.  That anxiety and dread bubbling in the pit of your stomach disappears; and that, in itself, is worth it’s weight in gold. read more
