Seligman was visiting a close friend in hospital.  The friend was on life support, and had laid unconscious since being admitted.  Seligman observed an orderly meticulously placing beautiful pictures on the walls around the room:

It’s that time of week… time to continue the path to thriving at work!  Are you raring to go?
This week I thought I’d do something a little different.  So there’s no funny video or story.  Instead, it’s time for a workplace challenge.  I hope you’re up for it!
In my last workplace, I used to amuse myself with “Lionel Richie Thursday’s”.  And yes, it was as droll as it sounds.  The rules of the game are simple – pack as many Lionel Richie lyrics into natural daily conversation as you can.  Try it out… after answering the telephone once with “hello, is it me you’re looking for”, it gets infinitely more challenging.
