Yet again it’s a Bank Holiday Monday over here in the UK. Is it me, or does every other Survive at Work seem to be a Bank Holiday edition?
 
Not that I’m complaining of course… I’ll never say no to taking a Monday off 🙂

This week I’ve got the most awesome list for you!  It’s a list compiled by HR professionals, detailing the worst things they’ve seen candidates do.
 
There’s horror:
 

“I once had a person clip her fingernails while we were speaking.”

 
There’s hubris:
 

“Applicant announced his candidacy with a singing telegram.”

And there’s hilarity:
 

“A job applicant came in for an interview with a cockatoo on his shoulder.”

But be prepared… there’s some diamonds in there!  Within the space of 5 minutes I managed to reel in horror, cringe (to the point of wanting to curl up and hide) and have a good old belly laugh.
