Happy Monday #31

Good morning Survive at Workers!

How’s it going?  I hope you’re all wrapped up warm and driving carefully on these dark, rainy, windswept mornings. The UK Autumn has well and truly landed.

This week’s Happy Monday is for all of you who need a little motivation right now.  If you didn’t really want to get up and go to work this morning for example, then this today’s Happy Monday is for you!

Happy Monday #31

Neil Pasricha is the owner of a site called 1000awesomethings.com, where he lists the simple & small little things in life that we don’t really talk about enough, even though they are true pleasures.  Stuff like the first scoop of peanut butter out of the jar, or using Rock-Paper-Scissors to settle anything!

By the way, Rock Paper Scissors is a much under-utilised decision making tool in my opinion 😉

In Neil’s TED Talk, he introduces us to the 3 As of Awesome… the 3 secrets behind living an awesome life:  Attitude, Awareness & Authenticity.

Find out more about the 3 As by watching the video (here’s the transcript by the way if you don’t have access to the video):

To leave you with the words of Neil:

You will never be as young as you are right now.  And that’s why I believe that if you live your life with a great attitude, choosing to move forward and move on whenever life deals you a blow, living with a sense of awareness of the world around you, embracing your inner three year-old and seeing the tiny joys that make life so sweet and being authentic to yourself, being you and being cool with that, letting your heart lead you and putting yourself in experiences that satisfy you, then I think you’ll live a life that is rich and is satisfying, and I think you’ll live a life that is truly awesome.

Remember… you’re awesome 🙂  Have a great week!
