Happy first Monday of the year!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and splendid New Year!
Does it all now seem like a distant memory? It certainly seemed that way when I logged on Facebook last night – the amount of friends absolutely dreading this morning (the first day back in work for many) was monumental!
I remember those days… The lurching stomach. Those echoes of your first day back to school after the summer holidays. That fleeting thought, at the top of the stairs, whether breaking an arm actually hurts that much.
It’s the usual Monday dread x100!
Thankfully, I actually look forward to Monday’s these days – after all, I get to do fun things (like write this blog) and my boss doesn’t mind if I have a late-ish start 😉
However, if this all sounds familiar and you started this morning wanting to cry, then Survive at Work is here to help!
Happy Monday #39
This week’s Happy Monday is inspired by the epic article 36 Kids Crying For The Funniest Reasons Ever over on Distractify.
If you wanted to cry this morning, this is guaranteed to cheer you up! After all, crying because of the Monday dread definitely trumps crying because someone broke your cheese in half.
Wondering what the heck I’m on about? How about a quick taster:
And if these cheer you up, I also recommend checking out what was probably the inspiration for the article, the wonderful blog Reasons my Son is Crying:
“Reason My Daughter is Crying: When she tickled the fridge, it didn’t laugh.”
1st Happy Monday of 2015
On New Year’s Eve, lots of people were sharing the magnificent quote by Brad Paisley:
Tomorrow, is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one.
Powerful stuff eh?
The same applies to each Monday… the first blank page of a 7 day book. Life is wonderful really – we don’t need a new year to make a fresh start or renewed commitment. A Monday works just as well!
Have an awesome week & a wonderful New Year.
I hope you’ll have the opportunity to fill that blank diary of yours with awesome experiences, personal growth and career excellence.
